How do people play a role in street photography?
Street Photography also involves people as their subjects, capturing their everyday life and their surroundings. Photographing strangers happens often without their knowledge. When taking pictures of people as your subject lighting, background, distracting elements and movement are all things that are taken to consideration.
Most street photography compositions include people, whether posed or candid, someone the photographer met or saw passing by, or figures that appear small and distant in the overall composition. Some subjects are framed or captured in the their surroundings like the city. It is aimed toward capturing the personality of a person or a group of people. Other photographers capture their subjects expression and helps tell a story to the audience as well as capturing action.

- Study and be consistent about how you do things
- Check your exposure settings before the person is even aware of you
- Beware of bright light behind your subject; Compensate so the camera will capture good detail in the person’s face and not be influenced by the bright backlighting
- Thinking ahead to what may happen when you approach your subject is important
